Remake du film français La Dernière Aventure (1967)
Deux détenus sont simultanément libérés de prison, mais se séparent pour se croiser à nouveau dans le bordel le plus proche. Ils y font la connaissance d'une apprentie prostituée (Meiko Kaji) à l'esprit enfantin mais ayant de sérieux problèmes avec les yakuza. Ils l'aident à s'échapper de sa condition et décident de l'aider dans sa quête d'un trésor engloutie en mer dont elle seule connaît l'emplacement... mais dont les yakuza sont très impatients d'en savoir plus. Un conte picaresque dans le vrai sens du terme.

Il ne faut pas longtemps avant que la police s'intéresse aux crimes, et bien sûr, les gangsters sont sur les talons de Jiri ; ce qui signifie que les deux doivent fuir à travers le Japon par tous les moyens nécessaires.
