The Bomber
Seconde guerre mondiale. Survivants du crash de leur bombardier en zone allemande, trois soldats russes doivent impérativement retrouver leur base pour rester en vie. Grivtsov et sa radio-opératrice Katya s'enfuient en direction du front russe alors que Linko, le navigateur, décide de se rallier au camp nazi pour sauver sa peau. De retour au pays, Grivtsov s'attend à recevoir les honneurs pour son action. Malheureusement, le colonel des Smersh, la milice des déserteurs, va l'accuser d'une opération de sabotage contre l'armée russe. Au lieu de recevoir la médaille « Star » de la patrie pour son centième vol, il se voit accusé de trahison et condamné à être exécuté.
