Le Diable
En janvier 1793, conformément au partage prévu, l’armée prussienne entre en Pologne par l’Ouest. Jakub, aidé par un étrange inconnu, quitte le couvent où les soldats ont perpétré un massacre. En fuite, il est témoin du mariage de sa fiancée enceinte avec son ami et de l’orgie qui s’ensuit. Toujours suivi par l’inconnu, il erre dans une Pologne en décomposition...
