La nouvelle mission de Naruto est de protéger Shion, la prêtresse du Pays du Démon, menacée par Môryô. Elle est en effet la seule capable de sceller son âme maléfique. Elle a aussi un autre don : prédire le destin d'une personne sans jamais se tromper ! Sa dernière prédiction : Naruto va bientôt mourir'. Le seul moyen pour Naruto d'échapper à ce présage serait d'abandonner Shion au démon, mais ce n'est pas vraiment son style !
