La chanteuse de rock Terri Knight est de retour dans sa ville natale pour y donner un concert. Lors d'une répétition en compgnie de ses musiciens, elle a une violente dispute avec Jack, son mari et manager. Terri quitte précipitamment la salle, mais elle est retrouvée assassinée peu après.
