La maîtresse de maison est sortie pour quelques heures, laissant son bébé aux soins d'une adolescente qui commence immédiatement à appeler ses amis. Tom et Jerry doivent alors faire une trêve à leurs poursuites constantes pour surveiller le bébé qui s’enfuit continuellement. Lorsque le bébé s'échappe par la porte d'entrée, Tom et Jerry le poursuivent sur un chantier de construction, où ils essaient frénétiquement de le protéger des dangers.
