C’est le jour du grand match de baseball entre les Drips et les Droops et Woody Woodpecker essaie de planter la porte et d’entrer sans payer de billet. Un policier ne cesse de le jeter à la porte, mais Woody enfile un uniforme de baseball — y compris une casquette, puisque les joueurs de baseball ne portent pas de chapeau — qui entre à l’intérieur et participe bientôt au jeu. Il se retrouve coincé au tableau d’affichage par un déluge de balles de baseball lancées par tout le monde dans le stade.
