Mal entraîneur de l'équipe anglaise de football composée de sans domicile fixe, emmène ses joueurs à Rome dans l'espoir de remporter la Coupe du monde des sans-abri lors d'un tournoi de foot de rue. Au dernier moment, il décide de faire aussi venir un buteur de talent, Vinny, qui pourrait bien être son ticket gagnant... s'il accepte de faire la paix avec son passé et de s'intégrer dans l'équipe.
