Rudolf, bon vivant dans sa soixantaine en est convaincu. "La femme doit se battre pour toi, faire tous les efforts possibles. Très cher, quand une femme s'ennuie, c'est mauvais signe." Il a appliqué sa théorie durant des années, et la naïveté de son beau fils Ondrej, qui met tout en œuvre pour être un époux prévenant, ne fait que l'exaspérer. Qui plus est, cette prévenance l'empêche de voir que sa femme Alice s'ennuie. Rudolf décide alors de donner quelques conseils à Ondrej pour redonner vie à son mariage. Après tout, il ne fait ça que pour sa fille ...
