C’est l’histoire d’une chaîne née à l’Assemblée nationale juste avant l’an 2000. Créée par une loi, que pouvait devenir cet objet télévisuel voulu par des hommes politiques et consacré au fonctionnement démocratique ? Balançant entre son cahier des charges et un légitime désir d’audience quand on veut s’adresser au plus grand nombre, LCP a affronté de nombreux défis. À travers les témoignages de la plupart des acteurs qui ont contribué à son histoire, le film retrace cette aventure humaine et médiatique qui traverse l’histoire contemporaine, du 11 septembre aux gilets jaunes.
