

Summer of Soul (…ou quand la révolution n'a pas pu être télévisée)
A l’été 1969, à la même période que les mythiques concerts de Woodstock qui se déroulaient à une centaine de kilomètres de là, le Harlem Cultural Festival de New York donnait lieu à une impressionnante série de représentations, et cela devant plus de 300 000 personnes. Largement tombée dans l’oubli, cette manifestation dont les images n’avaient jamais été diffusées revient aujourd’hui sur le devant de la scène grâce au travail accompli par le musicien, auteur-compositeur, DJ et journaliste Ahmir « Questlove » Thompson, qui signe avec SUMMER OF SOUL sa première réalisation pour le compte de Onyx Collective et Searchlight Pictures.
