Dans l'historiographie de la Grande Guerre, la désobéissance militaire, la mutinerie et le pacifisme militant s'apparentent à un mythe silencieux. Mal connus, longtemps considérés comme tabous, ces actes de refus véhiculent une forte charge symbolique. Ils sont les premières manifestations de l'objection de conscience et trouveront leur prolongement lors des guerres suivantes, notamment en Algérie et au Vietnam. De la trêve de Noël 1914 jusqu'à la mutinerie de Kiel en octobre 1918, sans refuser de défendre leur terre, et en toute connaissance des risques encourus, des hommes se sont rebellés. The changing position of the sun in the sky affects the behaviour of animals and plants across our planet. Viola moves toward the camera/viewer, pausing every few steps to ring a bell, at which point he is momentarily thrust back to his starting place, and then advanced again. Finally reaching his destination, he is taken through all of the previous stages in a single instant and returned to the source of his journey.
