Une planète sur laquelle le vivant aurait pris des formes aussi complexes et diverses que celles sur Terre. Astronomes, biochimistes et biologistes nous embarquent pour un voyage au cœur de notre système solaire à la découverte de l’incroyable concours de circonstances qui a permis à la vie de se développer sur Terre depuis près de 4 milliards d’années. Notre écosystème serait donc le résultat d’une vertigineuse suite de hasards et de catastrophes qui auraient dû détruire la vie mais qui finalement lui ont été bénéfiques. Alors ? La Terre serait-elle la grande gagnante du loto cosmique ?
