Chronique De Mon Village
En 1960, Bachir, neuf ans, rêve de devenir fils de martyr car il a entendu dire que les enfants de martyrs obtiendront tout après l’indépendance. Il met en place tout un plan afin de se débarrasser d’un certain François, ennemi de son pays, tandis que son père, Saddek, l’a abandonné avec sa mère et ses frères. A travers cette fiction, le film se penche sur la vie et les visions des petits Algériens pendant la guerre de Libération nationale. Karim Traïdia revient sur sa propre enfance pendant la guerre d’Algérie (1945-1962). Sur un registre humoristique il raconte les aventures d’un jeune enfant et ses amis innocents sur fond d’une guerre sans merci qui fait rage.
