Avec sa légendaire tournée mondiale "Blond Ambition Tour", en 1990, Madonna choquait encore une fois le monde entier, simulant une masturbation sur scène, entre autres provocations. Au sommet de sa notoriété, la star avait également pris position en faveur des droits des homosexuels, durement touchés par le sida et les discriminations. Le sujet la touchait personnellement : six des sept danseurs qui l’entouraient alors sur scène étaient gays. En retraçant le parcours de ces artistes avant, pendant et après cette mémorable tournée, ce documentaire met en lumière sous un angle inédit l’histoire de la communauté LGBT aux États-Unis. Réunis pour la première fois vingt-cinq ans plus tard, ces danseurs racontent leurs histoires respectives, entre fierté et difficulté à assumer leur identité au grand jour, et évoquent avec une nostalgie parfois douce-amère leurs relations avec Madonna.
