Nous sommes confrontés à un nombre croissant de bactéries qui résistent aux traitements dont nous disposons. En cause, l’élevage industriel qui gave les bêtes d’antibiotiques. Pour Arte, Valentin Thurn et Frank Bowinkelmann, documentaristes allemands ont mené l’enquête dans plusieurs pays européens auprès de chercheurs, d’éleveurs, de vétérinaires et de médecins. Ils mettent en lumière le lien entre le recours massif aux antibiotiques dans les exploitations intensives et la recrudescence de bactéries résistantes aux médicaments. Résultat : le nombre d’infections difficiles à soigner explose, notamment en France.
