Paris. Un riche homme d'affaires est retrouvé mort à son domicile. Tout accuse l'ancien flic Michaël Lombardi qui était présent sur les lieux du crime avant de prendre la fuite. Bien qu'il soit fâché depuis deux ans avec son frère, Romain Lombardi, resté dans la police, il décide d'enquêter. Le mobile serait lié à une tragédie survenue vingt ans auparavant, l'homme d'affaires serait un des commanditaires et il existerait une liste des personnes impliquées... Avec l'aide de son frère Romain, Michael mènera une enquête parallèle pour retrouver le véritable coupable.
