Le mariage de Miguel et Ruth est fini et nos deux nouveaux tourtereaux vont passer un séjour idyllique dans leur propriété prés de la mer. C’est effectivement un séjour de rêve que passent les deux amants, mais Paul rencontre son ancien frère d’armes, Roland, dont il se méfie quelque peu. Mais pourquoi ? Et puis, Paul semble receller quelques secrets pour le moins étranges. Son comportement s’altère. Et ce que Ruth ne s’est pas emballée un peu trop vite pour cet homme, charmant certes, mais dont les contours semblent présenter quelques aspérités. D’ailleurs, a-t-elle raison de prêter attention à un sentiment diffus d’inquiétude qui semble rôder autour d’elle ?

Viola moves toward the camera/viewer, pausing every few steps to ring a bell, at which point he is momentarily thrust back to his starting place, and then advanced again. Finally reaching his destination, he is taken through all of the previous stages in a single instant and returned to the source of his journey.
