C'était l'une des premières utilisations de l'intrigue préférée de Robert Tansey (seulement la troisième fois qu'il l'avait sorti de l'écurie, mais il en a sorti six autres films plus tard) dans lequel un groupe de hors-la-loi (emprisonné à tort cette fois) ) sont autorisés à rejoindre les gentils contre un pire groupe de hors-la-loi. Et, pas inhabituel dans le genre B-western, la plupart de l'équipe de production portait plusieurs chapeaux; Le réalisateur Robert N.Bradbury et le superviseur Lindsley Parsons ont écrit une chanson pour Tommy Bupp, l'un des très bons acteurs de l'époque qui a prouvé très vite que le chant n'était pas son point fort, tandis que Robert Emmett Tansey a travaillé trois emplois sous trois noms ... Robert Emmett sur l'histoire et le scénario, Robert Tansey comme directeur de production et Al Lane comme assistant réalisateur.
