Le Zanskar est un royaume isolé du nord-ouest de l'Himalaya indien, où la population locale est enneigée six mois par an. Environ 10 000 Zanskaris vivent dans la vallée isolée. Le film raconte l'histoire de cette amitié, de l'école de ski et du développement du ski dans la région. En cours de route, une question plus importante est soulevée. Plus récemment, le gouvernement fédéral a annoncé un important projet de construction de routes qui offrira un accès toute l'année au Zanskar. Comment la nature sauvage du Zanskar peut-elle être préservée? Ce n'est qu'une question de temps avant que la route d'hiver ne soit terminée.
