Silvio (Silvio Muccino, le jeune frère du réalisateur) ne s'intéresse pas à la rébellion étudiante qui se déroule dans son lycée. Sa fascination repose sur Valentina (Giulia Carmignani), la plus jolie fille de l'école. Cependant, Valentina a déjà un petit ami jaloux, Martino (Simone Pagani). Après que Silvio a finalement un moment seul avec Valentina (où ils partagent un baiser), il fait l'erreur de dire à son meilleur ami potins, Ponzi (Giuseppe Sanfelice). À la fin de la journée, toute l'école connaît le baiser, y compris un Martino très en colère.
