Oskar, orphelin de 17 ans, est en conflit perpétuel avec son tuteur, Elvis, qui l'oblige coûte que coûte à passer son diplôme. Décidé à se libérer de cette autorité démesurée, il met de l'argent de côté et attend sa majorité pour commencer une nouvelle vie au Zimbabwe. Les deux hommes s'engagent progressivement dans un duel violent et acharné.
