Hommage au druze Kamal Jumblatt , ministre de l'Économie et de l'Agriculture (1946) et fonde en 1949 le parti socialiste progressiste (PSP). Il est l'un des artisans du départ du président Bechara el-Khoury (1952), avant de jouer un grand rôle dans les événements de 1958. De 1960 à 1964, Kamal Joumblatt assume, sous la présidence de Fouad Chehab, diverses fonctions ministérielles. Après le conflit de juin 1967, il se rapproche progressivement des organisations palestiniennes. Il devient en 1969 ministre de l'Intérieur ; en août 1970, il soutient l'élection de Soleiman Frangié à la présidence de la République. À la suite des affrontements libano-palestiniens de mai 1973, il prend parti contre le chef de l'État, s'impose comme le leader du Mouvement national en 1975 et engage une lutte révolutionnaire armée contre le Front libanais. Hostile à l'intervention de la Syrie au Liban, il rompt avec celle-ci (mars 1976). Il est assassiné près d'un poste de contrôle syrien en 1977.

The film is a continuous time-lapse with multiple exposures of the sunset from the same angle and position on 16mm film. The shoot was done in a span of 5 years. The title 13 is because the time-lapse has a 13-second interval per frame.
