Leur histoire s’est propagée pour devenir un best-seller mondial, qui lui-même a engendré des douzaines de livres et plusieurs films. Ce documentaire revient sur l'affaire Amityville, du meurtre des DeFeo à l'emménagement de la famille Lutz, et essaie de découvrir la vérité par des moyens scientifiques.
