Aux abords du lac Fujimi vit une enseignante nommée Akiko. Non loin de là, un cercueil est débarqué et un vampire en émerge, attaquant une première victime, un certain Kyusaku. Ce dernier s’en prend ensuite à Akiko, dont la sœur, Natsuko, se conduit bizarrement, au point que Akiko demande l’aide de son petit ami, un médecin vivant dans la grande ville prénommé Saeki. Cependant, personne ne semble croire la jeune femme qui soupçonne l’existence d’un vampire et la pauvre se voit contraint de lutter seule pour enrayer l’épidémie menaçant d’infecter la région. De son côté, Saeki finit par découvrir que la clé du mystère réside dans un événement traumatisant survenu durant la jeunesse de sa copine, laquelle, partie à la recherche de son petit chien disparu, avait découvert une grotte servant de cachette à un dangereux personnage...

Olivier refuse, prétextant qu'il a déjà trop d'apprentis. Le jeune garçon est alors placé dans l'atelier de soudure. Qui est Francis ? Pourquoi Olivier se met-il à le suivre dans les couloirs de l'établissement, dans les rues de la ville, jusqu'à son immeuble ? Pourquoi est-il ainsi attiré par lui ? Et pourquoi semble-t-il le craindre à ce point ?
