Bossemans et Coppenolle avec les animateurs de la RTBF
C'est le football qui oppose les familles Bossemans et Coppenolle. L’une supporte le Darling, l’autre l’Union Saint-Gilloise. Car il fut une époque où l’Union St-Gilloise et le Daring étaient les " grands " du football belge avec des supporters plutôt " fanatiques ". Toute la pièce se déroule sur ce fond sportif avec les rivalités et les querelles que peuvent susciter l’appartenance à l’un ou l’autre club et dont seront victimes les braves Bossemans et Coppenolle. Léontine Coppenolle et Violette Bossemans sont folles de foot et comme elles dominent leurs faibles compagnons, ceux-ci ne sont pas loin de partager leur folie, risquant de ruiner les espoirs de bonheur de Georgette et de Joseph, les enfants Coppenolle et Bossemans.
