Bien que soeurs, Alexandra et Elodie n'ont jamais été proches. Lors de l'enterrement de leur père, elles se retrouvent et semblent enfin complices, ce qui réjouit leur mère. Alexandra éprouve de la compassion pour sa soeur qui, divorcée et sans enfant, semble avoir raté sa vie. Elle tente de lui venir en aide et lui propose de l'héberger. Mais Alexandra ignore que sa soeur, qui a toujours éprouvé de la jalousie envers elle, est prête à tout pour l'éliminer. En effet, Elodie n'a jamais pardonné à son père de lui préférer sa cadette. Désormais, elle entend prendre sa revanche et régler enfin ses comptes avec un passé douloureux. Mais personne dans la famille ne peut imaginer qu'Elodie soit capable d'ourdir un plan aussi machiavélique...
