Dans les années 1980, Arlindo Barreto est embauché pour un travail qui le met sur le devant de la scène. Sous son maquillage, sa perruque rouge et ses habits de clown, il devient le présentateur du show TV Bingo, qui réveille les enfants chaque matin. Mais, loin des caméras, Arlindo doit garder son identité secrète et côtoie le monde de la drogue, jusqu’à ce qu’il trouve grâce à son fils et la religion la force de se reconstruire.
