Le Mystère von Bülow
À la fin des années 70, les enfants de Sunny von Bulow accusent leur beau-père, Claus, d'avoir administré une dose d'insuline à son épouse, faisant d'elle un légume. Un détective privé réunit alors de nombreuses preuves contre Claus von Bulow. Jugé coupable d'avoir tenté d'assassiner son épouse, il est condamné à trente ans de prison. Au moment d'entamer une procédure d'appel, von Bulow décide d'engager, pour sa défense, Alan Dershowitz, avocat new-yorkais et professeur à Harvard, connu pour son intégrité. Entouré d'une équipe d'étudiants, celui-ci reprend tout le dossier à zéro, reconstituant le passé de l'affaire.
