Son dernier projet était un pilote intitulé « Us » (« Les Routes de la vie » en Français) dans lequel il incarne le rôle de Jeff Hayes, un prisonnier qui retrouve son père et son fils après avoir purgé une peine de 18 ans pour un meurtre qu’il n’a pas commis. Il meurt le 1er juillet 1991, avant d’en voir la diffusion. Il était atteint d’un double cancer du foie et du pancréas fulgurants.
