L'Affaire Farewell : l'espion de la vengeance
Au début des années 1980, au moment où François Mitterrand et Ronald Reagan arrivent au pouvoir, une taupe soviétique révèle aux services secrets français que l'économie de l'URSS et son industrie militaire ne tiennent que grâce à l'espionnage pratiqué par le KGB. «Farewell» est le nom de code que donnent les Français à l'espion. Quelque 3000 documents stratégiques et les noms des principaux agents soviétiques opérant à l'Ouest sont ainsi livrés aux Français. Farewell est l'un des éléments qui ont fini par faire tomber le Mur de Berlin. Après des années de silence, certains des protagonistes de ces opérations sont en mesure de livrer leur témoignage. Agents du KGB, de la CIA et de la DST de l'époque sont aujourd'hui à la retraite et peuvent parler.
