L'Oeuvre des Jours
Louis-Pierre Bougie, François-Xavier Marange et Denis Saint-Pierre sont tous trois artistes. Ils partagent le même atelier montréalais, jusqu’à ce que la maladie de l’un d’eux bouleverse leurs habitudes. Le cinéaste Bruno Baillargeon s’immisce avec affection dans leur monde, pour filmer leurs œuvres de graveur ou de peintre, certes, mais pour témoigner surtout de leur amitié, de leur rapport particulier au temps et de leur sens de la liberté. Il filme le travail, le savoir-faire, la durée du processus créatif et ses incertitudes, reflet serein de la vie qui passe et de ses aléas. La caméra patiente et discrète du cinéaste capte à merveille cet univers de concentration et d’humilité, nous faisant découvrir trois portraits émouvants qui ne font qu’un. (ACO)
