L'expédition en Antarctique du commandant Cousteau à bord de la Calypso a été la plus passionnante mais aussi la plus périlleuse de toutes les aventures du grand baroudeur des mers. Un de ses hommes, Michel Laval, y a en effet trouvé la mort. Malgré tous les moyens extrêmement sophistiqués mis à la disposition de l'équipage, la Calypso restait bien fragile dans l'immensité de la banquise. L'équipe a ramené des images extraordinaires du ballet des baleines à bosse, du jeu des merveilleux nageurs que sont les pingouins, du mystérieux "poisson des glaces", etc. La beauté des paysages est portée par la musique de Ravel.

Attempting to fix the woman's well, the Stooges instead unleash an oil geyser. They manage to retrieve the deed to the land and are allowed to marry the now wealthy Widow Jenkins' daughters. Moe tells Curly to wish for quintuplets, and Curly replies, "We'll honeymoon in Canada!" (a reference to the Dionne quintuplets).
