A la veille de la Révolution de 1789, Toussaint Louverture prépare Saint-Domingue à se libérer de ses chaînes, imposées par la colonisation française. Fort de caractère, pétri de convictions démocratiques, et empreint alors des valeurs et bienfaits tout neufs de la République naissante, il s'allie à la France après avoir combattu aux côtés des Espagnols, des Anglais et avoir refusé l'alliance avec les Etats d'Amérique. Après la trahison du consul Bonaparte, devenu alors Napoléon en 1804, Saint- Domingue prend le nom de Haïti, car Toussaint, au prix de sa vie aura fait de son pays le premier Etat nègre indépendant où l'esclavage est enfin banni.

⭐ 6.2Sunny et l'éléphant
Sunny et l'éléphant se déroule dans les forêts vierges du nord de la Thaïlande. Sunny, un adolescent, rêve de devenir cornac. Mais pour cela, dans cette région proche de la Birmanie, il faut être un Karen. C'est pourquoi Boon, son vieux maître, refuse de lui laisser sa chance. Là, ils vivent de l'aumône des touristes apitoyés par les éléphants égarés en pleine jungle urbaine. Heureusement, un jeune vétérinaire européen, Nicolas, se propose de ramener Boon, sa famille et Dara vers la forêt des origines pour en faire, avec d'autres cornacs et d'autres éléphants, des gardes forestiers... Ensemble, Dara, Boon et Sunny devront reconstruire leur destin. Il faudra que Dara, l'éléphante exilée, se réadapte à la nature sauvage...
