Sur l'ordre de leur chef spirituel, trois jeunes islamistes kidnappent un groupe de comédiens, qui partaient en tournée au Maroc avec leur dernière création. Mais lorsqu'ils arrivent sur le lieu où ils ont prévenu de garder leurs otages, les ravisseurs se retrouvent coupés de tout, sans pouvoir demander à leurs chefs quoi faire des acteurs. Doivent-ils les sacrifier ou les garder en vie ? S'ensuit un huis clos de sept jours, riche en émotions, durant lequel les deux camps sont amenés à se découvrir et à se confronter, à défendre leurs points de vue respectifs sur le monde, la société et la religion...
