Le Bourreau turc
Dans un lieu public de Constantinople, au coin d’un bazar, le bourreau est assis sur une pierre et se repose de ses travaux quotidiens tout en mangeant une croûte de pain. Soudain, il y a beaucoup d’hommes et de femmes turcs qui précèdent des policiers turcs, qui traînent quatre prisonniers enchaînés. Les policiers ont enfermé les quatre prisonniers au pilori. Leurs quatre têtes traversent l’énorme planche, qui est munie de quatre ouvertures. L’un des policiers exhorte le bourreau à décapiter les prisonniers.
