Constitué d’une série d'entretiens réalisés aux États-Unis, à Paris ou à Barcelone auprès d’artistes, théoriciennes, activistes queer, et de documents d’archives autour de l’action politique des travailleuses sexuelles et de performances d’un nouveau genre, « Mutantes » dessine les contours d’un féminisme, dont on a peu parlé en France, qui revendique une liberté sexuelle totale, à l’instar du mouvement féministe « pro-sexe » né dans les années 80 aux États-Unis.
