1740. En pleine nuit, dans une ville portuaire sur la côte française, des soldats anglais parcourent les rues et les tavernes à la recherche des filles pour les emmener fonder des familles au nouveau monde. Quand ils atteignent enfin l'Amérique, les filles sont transportées jusqu' aux territoires en guerre, où les colons et les soldats les attendent. Leur transfert va être semé d’embûches: capturées puis libérées des Indiens, prises au milieu d’une bataille entre soldats Français et Anglais …
