Flèche d'Argent est un blanc élevé par le chef Pawnee Aigle Sage. Lorsque une caravane de pionniers traverse le territoire des Pawnee, Renard Violent décide de les attaquer, Flèche d'Argent sauve Tip et le ramène près des siens. De retour dans sa tribu, Flèche d'Argent cherche à en savoir plus sur ses origines et Aigle Sage lui conseille de retourner près des siens pour mieux les connaître, il se fera appeler alors Paul Fletcher.
