Lady with a Past
Bien qu'elle soit une héritière et plutôt charmante, Venice Muir est très timide. Elle est flattée quand le flirt Donnie Wainwright la presse de s'enfuir à Paris avec lui, puis irrité quand il l'abandonne avant le départ de leur navire. Venise a une idée, engageant un type sans le sou, Guy Bryson, pour faire semblant d'être un gigolo et faire connaître l'effet de Venise sur les hommes. Bientôt, elle est le toast de Paris, des prétendants faisant la queue pour la courtiser, dont René, un homme de lignée noble. À son insu, René est très endetté. Lorsqu'elle rejette sa proposition, René se suicide, renforçant la réputation de Venise en tant que renarde déchirante. De retour à la maison, Venise est suivie de plus de commérages, dont certains sur Guy. Un Donnie ébloui recommence à la poursuivre, gagnant finalement Venise sans jamais connaître sa ruse.
