La Vénus de Willendorf, une icône de la préhistoire
En 1908, lors de fouilles menées par le musée d'Histoire naturelle de Vienne dans le nord de l'Autriche, des chercheurs découvrent une petite statuette vieille de quelque 29 000 ans. À travers le personnage fictif d'une adolescente de 12 ans, contemporaine de la Vénus de Willendorf, ce documentaire plonge dans la vie de petites communautés humaines de la dernière période glaciaire, et livre un éclairage sur la place des femmes pendant la préhistoire.
