

La Chanson de L'Adieu
Documentaire hommage au chanteur égyptien Abdel Halim Hafez produit en 1977 constitué d'images d'archives du chanteur lors de son passage à Paris en septembre 1974, auquel viennent se joindre des scènes de fiction qui prennent la forme d'une enquête journalistique. Un film peu connu dans la filmographie d'Ahmed Rachedi qui dans cette période parisienne réalisera un autre long-métrage que nous aimerions beaucoup retrouvé : "Un doigt dans l'engrenage" (1973), sur un scénario de Rachid Boudjedra. Le générique et quelques images de "La chanson de l'Adieu", sorti en France en décembre 1981 dans la fameuse salle du Louxor à Paris où plus de 5000 spectateurs vinrent le voir.

But the teacher refuses to give in, for he and his students are preparing to sing a new song, the song of revolution.
