Mars 2020. Le premier jour de l'état d'urgence sanitaire, deux policiers sont appelés dans une petite ville minière de la plaine des Asturies pour enquêter sur la réapparition d'une jeune femme disparue depuis des mois. Pendant que le monde chavire et que la tragédie frappe toutes les familles, les deux collègues s'aperçoivent bientôt que le coronavirus n'est peut-être pas la seule force destructrice à l'œuvre.
